Hi, I'm Erin!

I’m a therapist who, like you, is learning to better navigate this complex world. I know the feeling of being overwhelmed, not knowing what to do next or scared that someone won’t really understand. My hope is to provide a welcoming, safe space to share what may be difficult to talk about, to take the time to learn more about yourself and facilitate growth in moving forward.
Throughout my career, I have specialised in youth mental health. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, or family conflict, I hope to give young people space to have their voices heard and help develop coping strategies to navigate life’s challenges. I practice from an Attachment lens while pulling from my various trainings in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, disordered eating support strategies, and evidence-based self-harm and suicide prevention techniques.
With adults, I use an eclectic approach to fit the client's needs while drawing from an Emotion Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy approach. My goal is to provide you the time and space to help identify how you feel, why you feel that way, and what to do about it. If we don’t
know how we feel, it's hard to know what we need to get through difficult times. I use a client-centred approach focused on trust and safety which means we would work as a team to figure out how to move forward in each session.
Recognizing the inequities in the world, I continuously focus my professional development with the mindset of supporting underrepresented groups including 2SLGBTQ+ identifying folx and indigenous people. With an anti-oppressive lens in all sessions, I strive to maintain a strength-based approach and acknowledge individual, community and societal systems that impact our lives.

I recognize how difficult and vulnerable it can be to reach out for help, I am happy to talk with you for a free 15-minute consultation to introduce myself and help you determine if you’d like to move forward with a first session. I provide in person, video and over the phone sessions.
As a social worker of settler origin, I am grateful for the opportunity to live and work on the traditional lands and waters of Fort William First Nation, signatory to the Robinson-Superior treaty of 1850.
