Hi, I'm Lauren!

There are many reasons that bring us to therapy. Life is complex, multifaceted, and difficult to accomplish alone, especially when shaped by the weight of childhood trauma, abuse, or overwhelming experiences. You might be feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Sometimes, it can be difficult to pinpoint exactly what’s causing you distress—it might feel vague, overwhelming, or difficult to name. In our sessions, I will help you explore these feelings with curiosity and compassion, uncover their origins, and decide how best to move forward.

Therapy is a process of guided self-exploration and skill development, where you’re not just heard—you’re understood, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change. It can help us emerge happier, healthier, and more resilient.

The aim of my practice is to build a safe, trusting, and nurturing relationship with each person I work with. My approach to therapy is gentle, caring, and non-judgemental. Inclusivity and belonging are central to my work; I strive to foster an environment where people of all backgrounds, abilities, and worldviews feel comfortable being themselves.
My passion and experience lie in supporting individuals navigating acute trauma, intergenerational trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic illness, and the lingering effects of childhood abuse. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, and together, we will determine the approach, guidance, and structure that is best suited for your goals. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy that engage both the brain and body to process distressing memories, foster adaptive healing, and increase one’s capacity for new adaptive learning and behaviour. Furthermore, I have specialized training and experience providing Neurodiversity-Affirming therapeutic interventions and approaches that prioritize comfort and self-regulation to help focus on healing instead of masking.
My goal is to help facilitate positive change in your life, by strengthening your sense of security within yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. To help you determine if my therapeutic style feels right for you, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. I look forward to meeting you.
